Anybody Interested in a Giveaway?

The time has come in my itty-bitty blogdom for a giveaway.  So I was trying to think of something unique to put up for grabs.  Oh, and I had lots of ideas.  Somehow though I couldn’t see anybody getting really excited over the pair of swim trunks once owned by K-Fed I saw up for auction on ebay.  Yeah.  I don’t blame ya.  Maybe unique wasn’t my best route.  So I thought about things that I have that I love.  Because I’m willing to bet you’d love a panini press as much as I love mine.  Ah, but then there is the cost of shipping.  Let me tell ya, those things are a tad on the heavy side.  Perhaps a practical item would make for a great prize.  A book?  A candle?  Kitchen towels?  Nah.  Too ordinary.

     And then it hit me.

If you’re reading my blog – chances are pretty good that you are one of two things.

       1. A mom

       2. Related to me.

And since chances are good that you fit nicely into one of these categories I can say with nearly 100% assurance that a Target gift card is just the thing for you.  How do I know?  Well, if you are in the first category then you likely stop by Target on a weekly basis and picture how lovely the new Spring line of tableware would look on your dining room table for the upcoming Bible study brunch you’re hosting.  Or how cute those new ballet flats would be with the summer sundress you’ll be wearing to a wedding next month.  But shoot, if all else fails, you could certainly use it to buy household necesseties.  Toilet paper.  Dish soap.  Fabric softener sheets.  Oh yeah ladies, live it up.

If you are in only the second category and not the first, then that makes you my gramps.  And, gramps, if you enter the giveaway, and happen to win, then you can certainly send the gift card back my way.  They have some cute summer tees I’ve had my eye on for awhile.

     Prize:  $25 Target Gift Card

To enter:  leave a comment.  I know.  I’ve really raised the bar here.  Oh, be sure to leave your email address so I can contact you if you win.  Only enter once please.  I’ll choose a winner on Saturday.

To enter more giveaways this week, surf over here and enter away!

  10. Cute site! Enter me please! I can give this to my sister-in-law for a graduation gift!

  11. First: I have a question. Why do some of the commenters’ name show in Red and the rest of us peons show in Black? I know “Black is Beautiful” but I like red better!

Second: If I would happen to win (fat chance) I know everyone would think there was family bias so I guess I’m out!

  12. Target is my favorite store (and Targets with Starbucks inside them are even better…)

Thank you, also, for participating and offering such an awesome prize – I’d like to invite you to enter my bloggy giveaway, too. Happy giving and getting!

  41. So, like, Target is the absolute best place ever. At my last visit, I walked out with a Thomas the Tank Engine mine tunnel track for my friend’s 2-yr old son. As I do not fall into your category #1, I was then given a remedial lesson on the Thomas train names. (Very British, all of them — I mean really, Percy, Toby,…)

  42. Target is the best. We just got portraits taken there, and I saw lots of cute things I’d love to buy. Thanks!

  43. pick me! pick me! please? sounds like a great give away considering i’m a target freak!!

  46. Definitely fall into the first category. In Target on a weekly basis, eyeing just about anything, but usually getting soap, crackers, toothbrushes…..sigh

  47. My kids would be in heaven with a gift card and Target’s dollar section. Who am I kidding? I would be too. :-)

  48. You were right! The pair of swim trunks once owned by K-Fed would not have been as good as the gift card!

  49. Wow! I finally made it through all the comments and I’m guessing the giveaway is a great way to find readers. Then again, all people need to do is find you and they’ll immediately be engrossed in your wonderful writing!

We are heading to the Beach in May and a Target gc would sure come in handy for the TP that we have to pack for the 5 bedroom rental house!

    Kim

    princessbubbles_18 at yahoo dot com

  75. This is a very useful giveaway. The Panini maker sounds interesting though.

  76. Oh my goodness you are the epitome of witty comments (or your children are, but that must mean you are because well it’s all about genetics or environment or both right?). I too am dealing with a tween who will be 12 tomorrow, and I am not prepared for the mood swing phase quite yet, as she came home from school the other day, I asked her if she had any homework, and she started crying. Oh my, good times, good times. Now to explain all that, my way of escape — yep the trip to Target, stop at Food Avenue, get a couple cookies or a pretzels (maybe even Pizza Hut breadsticks if it is after 11am – and a gourmet machine dispensed cappuccino, and the school can call the emergency number that I provided to them in case my daughter should need me (no not my cell phone number — the local Target’s they’re sure to get a hold of me there if I am not at home!)
    Thanks for the chance!

  77. I am a brand new mom (she’s 11 days old–and 6 weeks early!) and we have all sorts of stuff could use a gift card on. BTW, LOVE the color scheme of your blog page. :)

  88. I am the mom of two girls – one tween (so fun!) and one not tween but taking after her sister. I thunk my head against any number of things a day, and ask myself how my mother survived 4 daughters. And the two oldest are less than a year apart. Then I wonder why she didn’t just have a mass grave in one of our backyards with our teenage bodies stuffed down. LOL I will definately be returning because I can relate a lot to the tween thing. :) Thanks so much for the great giveaway, I should get hair dye and get into the mom relocation program. ;) thanks again

She used to laugh at me cause her girls were all sweetness and light and my two boys could break an anvil. Well I got the last laugh my oldest son is 18 now and while not a paragon of virture by no means. He didn’t wind up in reform school and run away from home everytime I turned around. Here’s hoping the 12 yr will go the same way.
