Trick-Or-Treat Disney Style

If you were to walk into my garage right this very moment, you’d see a purple Rubbermaid box, marked “HALLOWEEN”.  You’d notice that the lid is not secured, and that the spooky contents of the box are overflowing from within–faux black crows and glittery skulls begging to be placed just so inside the house.

I’m restraining myself, friends.  The calendar, after all, has yet to be flipped to October.  The least I can do is hold off on the spider webbing.

It’s tough to hold back though, considering that just last weekend my peeps and I were enjoying the splendor of fall at Disneyland.  And let me tell you, when Disney does fall, they do it right.  Halloween included.  They even let you trick-or-treat there!

What is this trick-or-treating with Mickey of which I speak?  Why, I’m glad you asked.  Here’s the scoop:

Mickey hosts his very own Halloween Party at Disneyland Park on Tuesdays and Fridays throughout October (plus Sunday, October 31st).  While the party is not included with general park admission and does require a separate ticket, party-goers get a pretty boomin’ bang for their buck.  The party features:

  • Trick or Treating in the ultimate Disney neighborhood, with even more treats along “Mickey’s Hide-and-Go-Treat Trails”
  • Dance parties – at Tomorrowland Terrace and the French Market
  • The “Halloween Screams” fireworks spectacular, hosted by “Master of Scare-omonies” Jack Skellington (presented exclusively for guests of  Mickey’s Halloween Party)
  • New surprises in “Mickey’s Costume Party” cavalcade, performed twice nightly
  • Character photo locations featuring Mickey and his pals, princesses and other favorites
  • The opportunity to arrive three hours before the party starts to play in Disneyland
  • Nearly all the favorite Disneyland rides and attractions

See what I mean?  Boomin’ bang for the buck, right?  Especially when you take advantage of the current fall discount offer available to Disneyland Resort Hotel guests.

My family has always LOVED spending Halloween with Mickey.  We take the opportunity to dress up in theme because for whatever reason my kids aren’t willing to go all matchy-matchy here at home.  Pfft.  Whatever.  Honestly, we’ve spent so many years with Mickey that Halloween just wouldn’t be Halloween without our favorite mouse and all of his pals.

Take a look at the costumes we’ve sported over the years.  Which one is your favorite?

*****Full Disclosure: Disney treated my family to a weekend at the park to experience Halloween Time at Disneyland.  They covered our airfare, hotel accommodations and park tickets.  The opinions expressed in this post are 100% genuine and were not influenced by the opportunity extended to us.*****
