We just returned from seven blissfully relaxing days on the white sand beaches of Florida’s emerald coast. This was our second trip to the 30A area and we only fell more in love with the sun, surf and sand. Today I’m sharing some photos of what I wore out and about on the beaches of South Walton. If you need beach trip outfit ideas, look no further, friends.
Besides my bathing suit, there is one article of clothing that I absolutely must have on any beach vacation: linen pants. Really. I currently own three pairs and made sure to pack each and every pair for this trip. I love them because they’re breathable, cute and super versatile. If you’re looking for beach trip outfit ideas, linen pants should definitely top your packing list.
The pants pictured above are probably my favorite of the three pairs of linen pants I packed for the beach. I got them several years ago from Target, but these white linen pants are similar if you’re in the market for a pair. When it comes to beachwear, or summer time looks in general, I love to pair light-colored neutrals. The look pictured above is no exception. The light blush muscle tank I’m wearing above was a $4 Old Navy score from a few years ago.
The second pair of linen pants I packed was sandy beige in color with a drawstring waist. These ones are from Victoria Secret, but again, they’re several years old. Because they’re wide through the leg, I like to wear a more form-fitting top with them. The cut and color of these beige linen pants is similar to mine, but with a button waist.
I wore this outfit one day when we biked from the condo we were renting into Seaside for some snacking and shopping.
The cute little joggers I’m wearing in the photo above are the third and final pair of linen pants I packed for the beach. I got those from Gap in the spring but they’re no longer in stock there. I opt to pair this pair with a more form-fitting top, too, because they’re fairly slouchy.
The look pictured above was a huge departure for me. I’ve never been a romper kind of girl before, but I got this one from Loft early in the spring and it grew on me.
It’s a bit skimpy for me to have felt comfortable wearing it anywhere other than the beach, but it does make for a great swimsuit cover. I actually wore it as a swimsuit alternative a couple of times while we played paddle ball on the beach at sunset.
This romper came from Loft, too. It’s dressy enough for a date night. I even wore this to a casual wedding over the summer. This one was modest enough for me; some of the rompers I’ve seen leave too little to the imagination.
White pants are always beach friendly, right? Especially when one has a nifty coconut to sip from (more on that in a future post).
The white jeans pictured above are Lucky Brand’s Sweet Crop. The cute top is also a Lucky Brand find.
This dress is from Loft. It’s bright and cheery and is perfect for a beach town date night.
During our stay on 30A, we spent an inordinate amount of time on the beach. We splurged on a beachfront condo and took every available opportunity to walk along the shore. The skirt pictured above is my alltime, hands-down favorite maxi skirt. The cut of it makes it perfect for us petite (read: short) girls. I wish I could link you to it, but it, alas, is sold out, too.
This, my friends, concludes the tour of what I wore during our beach vacation. Maybe it helps you with some beach trip outfit ideas and inspiration? I don’t claim to be a fashionista by any stretch of the imagination, but I thought it was worth sharing to prove that you don’t have to spend a million dollars or dress like a teeny-bopper to look cute on your next beach vacation. At least, I hope I looked at least a little bit cute. Lest posing for these pictures was a complete waste of my precious vacation time! You get the idea.
