Conference bound {in style}

Just over a month ago, I made a rash decision.  I’m not typically the kind of girl who makes rash decisions, but I’m hoping this one will work out in my favor.

Within the time span of two hours I learned about, researched and registered for a writing conference.  The Re:Write conference is taking place in sunny San Diego in September, and I’m going.  The sequence of events that led to me registering felt like a gentle push–sounded like a whisper from God.  I look at it as though I didn’t as much decide to go, but that I’m obeying by going.  I am beyond excited to see what comes of it.

For now, though, I’m busy preparing.  There are flights to be booked, transportation to be arranged, and, well, outfits to be chosen of course.  That’s the fun part.  Equally fun (and maybe slightly geeky) is that I get to accessorize, technologically.  I found the. cutest. laptop bag.  Not only will it be an extension of my outfit, but it’s totally functional, too.

My new bag is the Scarborough Express skinny sleeve by Love, Margaux.

Tell me that it’s not gorgeous.  Tell me you don’t wish you had one.  I know.  Gorgeous, right?  You wish you had one, right?

My laptop fits perfectly into the padded compartment and there is a little pocket on front for my cord.  Oh.  And?  It comes with a heavy duty strap so I can slip it over my arm for ultimate carrying convenience.  I love it.

More to come on the conference soon.  Until then, I’ve got some accessorizing to do.

*Special thanks to Love, Margaux for outfitting me with the Scarborough Express skinny sleeve for Re:Write 2012.*

  1. I am certain you’ll be the most fashionable one there.

    That sleeve is fantastic, by the way. Definitely one of the prettiest bags I’ve seen.

  2. I love the bag! Functional yet fun at the same time.

    Have a great time!
