We had big plans for this weekend. We were supposed to be glamping in the Great Smoky Mountains. But when the temperatures decided to take a nose dive into the 20’s, I decided that sleeping outside would probably not result in much sleeping. And so we stayed home and spent last night cozied up beneath a down comforter instead. It’s kind of a bummer because I was excited to visit the mountains and make use of this super cute puffer vest outfit. Luckily, this outfit works for chilly days running around town, too.
Let’s start with the base layer, shall we? Believe me when I tell you that every wardrobe needs one of these awesome shirts. There are so many things to love about it. For starters, look at all the texture. It’d designed so as to accentuate in all the right places. Know what I mean? But also, the turtleneck is cozy when the wind whips up. This particular neck is very well designed because it just naturally sits right. Some turtlenecks get weird folds and have to be constantly messed with. Not the case here.
Oh, and don’t even get me started on the thumb holes. Thumb holes are my favorite not only because they look so dang cute but also because they help keep layers in place when you throw on a chunky sweater or slip into a coat. This shirt is also moisture-wicking and comes in three different colors. The gray is my favorite.
Okay. Moving on to the vest. You guys. I really love me a cute puffer vest outfit and it’s hard to go wrong when that outfit is based around this adorable vest. It’s a little bit green’ish and a little bit gray’ish with two layers and two zippers. It’s down alternative. My favorite thing about it is that it’s layered but also features such great detail in the side stitching. Paired with the base layer shirt, it kept me comfortable for a day of running errands around town with outside temps in the mid-fifties.
I got no fewer than three compliments as I was out and about on the day I wore this cute puffer vest outfit. If you’re on the hunt for a new vest this season, I highly recommend giving this one a shot.
