It’s only a matter of time until your elementary student will be bringing home a list of names for the annual classroom valentine exchange. Are you ready? Sure, you could pick up a bag of conversation hearts from the holiday aisle at Target, but I suspect that the teacher might not be thrilled with the prospect of teaching multiplication to twenty-something sugar-hyped kiddos. I have a better idea for you.
Cute, right? The best part, though, is that these “berry” glad valentines are so simple that your little one can do them him or herself.
It’s just a matter of downloading my free printable classroom valentine tags and printing out as many as you need (there are eight on each sheet). From there, simply cut the tag out and use a hole punch to cut a hole for your twine. And then you simply use baker’s twine to tie them around the necks of some berry-flavored squeezable fruit sauce packets. I used plum kids organic fruit & veggie mashups because my kids love those things.
And there you have it–a super simple (and healthy!) classroom valentine idea that won’t break the bank.
I hope you like this idea as much as I do!
Nice! We send in healthy treats for birthdays too (I’m THAT mom) so I may use these for Lilly’s this month. Thanks!
Somehow I missed this post. Cute. I might use this one for Owen in the future. Fortunately we only have to do valentines for one class this year…… or maybe I’ll do it for Owen’s playgroup…. sorry, thinking as I type :)
