Can you believe Thanksgiving is almost here? I swear it seems like we were just ringing in the new year. Oh, but time marches on and brings with it the happiest of holidays. Thanksgiving is definitely one of my favorites. I’m a big fan, in part because I’m a foodie but also because I love lingering around the table and catching up with loved ones I don’t get to spend near enough time with. Today, I’m sharing a free printable Thanksgiving dinner table activity that makes lingering all the more enjoyable.
There are certain games I can honestly say that I wish were never invented. Uno and Monopoly would rank high on that list. And then there are those that I find way more engaging because they spark conversation, laughs and general merriment. Would you Rather is a perfect example of just such a game. It allows me to interact with my family and go down rabbit trails of conversation that I’d never have thought to begin in the first place.
Have you ever played this “game”? I put game in quotations because while it is a fun way to pass the time, it’s really more of a conversation starter than a game. No points are scored and nobody wins. Although, I’d argue that everybody wins because as you go around the table getting answers from each person, you get to learn a little bit about what makes that person tick. I wanted to share it with you as a free printable Thanksgiving dinner table activity because it’s such a great way to dig a little deeper into conversation with your holiday guests while still putting off dinner dishes just a little bit longer.
I came up with four different sets of questions that touch on some aspect of the holiday season. All you have to do is cut along the dotted lines and adorn this free printable Thanksgiving dinner table activity with some jute string or a ribbon at the top. For mine, I opted to mat them on cardstock that coordinates with my Thanksgiving tablescape, but that part is totally optional. All you really need to do is just use a hole punch to cut out circles where indicated and string decorative ribbon through the holes. The design of this printable is super neutral so as to coordinate with any color scheme.
Simply click the image above to print out as many sheets as you need. Cut along the dotted lines and place one playing card at each setting of your holiday table. Enjoy!
