I would be the first to tell you that fall is my absolute favorite season of the year. But after decorating my house for spring, I’m suddenly having an affinity for all things light and fresh and new. It’s pretty amazing how some greenery, a few pops of color and a couple of sweet little bunnies here and there can give whole new life to any home. Mine is no exception. Today, I’m sharing a peek at my house, lightened and brightened for spring. I hope these photos will inspire you with some modern farmhouse spring home decor ideas that you can implement in your own home.
One of the reasons I chose light neutrals for the permanent fixtures in our home (stone, wall color and furniture) is because it makes it super easy to decorate for any season simply by changing a few accessories. Adding some greenery in select spots throughout the space pictured below makes it feel so fresh and alive.

I found this birch and cotton spring wreath at Pier One. I love it that it allows me to continue to use cotton in my decor well into spring, even though I would typically relate cotton more to fall decor.
Between the fluffy cotton blooms and faux birch branches and delicate little flowers, this wreath features a lot of white and goes a long way in brightening things up.
I carried the same colors through when I styled this console table for spring. You’ll see a lot of white and blushy pinks and bright, kelly green in the elements I chose.
Of course, I couldn’t decorate for spring without featuring a few Easter eggs. My dough bowl seemed like the perfect place to incorporate some pastel faux eggs together with a pair of rustic gray bunnies.

Maybe it’s just me, but I always find it challenging to style the kitchen, no matter the season. I’m a firm believer in keeping mostly bare counter tops, and so I don’t want to clutter them with unnecessary decor. As a result, I keep the spring decorating to a minimum in the kitchen, but do add a few touches here and there.
This green boxwood and berry wreath pops with bright color against my white kitchen cabinets.
I carry the green through on the side table in our breakfast nook, located just off the kitchen.
I also used bright green moss when I styled this simple and casual spring table in the breakfast nook.

We have a keeping room, or den, just off the kitchen in our house. I opted for a simple framed spring print on the coffee table, and placed a wreath around it.
Two bunny figurines and a faux boxwood make for a whimsical vignette on a second table in the room.
Last, but certainly not least is the tablescape in our formal dining room. I’m only sharing a peek of it in this post, but will be publishing a post on Friday with lots of close-up photos, details and resources for replicating this green and lavender spring tablescape in your own home.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this spring home tour! What is your favorite way to decorate for spring? Do you lean more towards blushy pinks, soft purples, kelly greens or an entirely different color scheme in your seasonal decor?
