HALLOWEEN HOME DECOR + FREE PRINTABLE

Decorating for Halloween is an olympic sport for some people. Starting in September they hang spider webs, create a graveyard on the front lawn and erect a zombie at the doorbell — and that’s just outside. My approach to Halloween decor is far more subtle. I take the opportunity to focus on fun and colorful decor with just a hint of spook thrown in for good measure. Today, I’m offering a virtual tour of my Halloween decor. Come on in and take a peek?

I opted to maintain a festive color scheme throughout my decor. By adding purple and green to the traditional orange and black, I lightened things up a bit and gave my Halloween decor a more playful tone.

For this vignette I even added a few macrabe accents in the way of skulls and a skeleton. The kids love that part.

I also decorated a black Halloween tree with coordinating bulbs and gathered a few fun jack-in-the-boxes at the base of the tree. The vignette is anchored within a decorative tray atop the coffee table.

In the next room, I adorned my floating shelves with a variety of traditional orange and black Halloween decor. All of the Halloween decor pictured below was purchased from Target and Michaels. The “Boo” letters are sold unfinished, I spray painted mine black but you could also do silver for a brighter look. Adding a coat of spray glitter would be a fun touch as well.

  1. So cute! I was just talking to Annabelle about how we need to redo our mantel decor. I’m so behind this year.

May I ask where you bought the skull? I like it all, but I especially like that – and the price!
